Sharing internet links with children

Sometimes in the ICT suite, you'll want your class to use a specific website like this game for Heinemann Active Maths:
https://www.iplanner.co.uk/resourcefiles/ham/l2/IPG/TW_Y4_Ca_002_S.html
But asking children to type this in would be too difficult - it needs to be shorter.

To shorten a website address you can do the following:
1. Copy the website address (Highlight, press control and C)
2. Go to tinyurl.com
3. Paste the website address you copied into the box on the page
(Click in the box, type control and V):
4. Either Click the 'Make TinyURL!' button, or add a word or phrase in the lower box.
5. A new link will be made for you - it'll start with tinyurl.com/ and then either be a string of 7 letters and numbers or whatever you typed into the custom alias box. You can share this with your class and it's much easier to type.

So typing tinyurl.com/p6frac (you don't need the www) will take you here:

By the way - URL is an acroynm; the letters stand for Universal Resource Locator = an internet address.
